Dress it up with BooHoo

Summer is fast approaching and the hot weather has already started. Dressing and living in London in the hot summer can be difficult as you just want to walk around wearing as little as possible because it is so hot and sticky on the tubes and public transport. I really do love the hot weather but despite how places in London just aren’t cut out for the hot weather.. where are all the fans at?

During the summer I tend to be away on longer holidays thanks to my job so I tend to keep my summer wardrobe a little flirty but also practical. I live in denim skirts, crop tops, frilly dresses and skirts. However, sometimes that goes out the window as we spend most of our time at beaches so will be in our swimsuits.

When Boohoo contact me regarding their dress it up campaign I just couldn’t say no. Boohoo is a very affordable online retailer who really cater who have been around since 2006!! They bring out new products all the time to keep up with the ever-changing fashion industry. I am a big fan of online shopping because it’s so easy to do from the comfort of your own home and it’s so easy to order things and receive them the next day, perfect if you’re busy working or can’t go to the shops to find an outfit. As I was given the opportunity to choose my own dress on the website the hunting began. I looked through pages and pages of dresses and quickly found a couple that I loved.

Finally I set my heart upon this gorgeous lemon and polka dot ruffle shoulder dress, falling in love with the fun print and the ruffles which really give into the flirty summer dress vibe.  The dress cost £20.00 and if you’re able to use student discount it means it comes to only £18.00. If you’re not a student anymore Boohoo are quite famous for constantly having offers and promotions on so keep checking back. You can also sign up to their mailing list as they constantly send out different offers as well.

It arrived pretty quickly and I couldn’t wait to try it on and style it myself. I loved the way the dress flowed and wanted to play with the feminine and flirty vibe it was already giving me. I paired it with my favourite wedges from Office which are currently £38.00! I can’t believe how cheap they are, definitely something to invest in as they’re so comfy and good quality. To keep with the espadrille style, I also paired it with this bag which I actually bought off Amazon for a mere £17.99. These bags are so in fashion at the minute however you don’t want to be spending more than £20.00 on a bag you might only use for the summer. Finally, I finished off the look with this lovely gold cross pendant from Shein for only £1.99. I love the cross detailing and the little pendant and it just completes the look. The quality of the necklace isn’t the best but for only a pound you can’t really go wrong.

However, the dress is quite versatile meaning you could also chuck on a pair of sandals or even white trainers like Vans or Converse and dress it down a little bit more. Both work equally well but considering my style is more feminine I wanted to show this in the pictures.

I hope you enjoyed this post and liked looking at how I styled this dress. I loved writing it and creating the content for it. Let me know your thoughts down below!

Love, Cally x
