Denaj Beauty Review

Sakina kindly contacted me the other week to review a few products from the brand Denaj Beauty, who are a family run business. I was sent a whole hamper of things to trial. Sakina created Denaj Beauty after her son was having problems with his dry skin and eczema and she realized how many chemicals were in all the products she was using on his skin. She began researching natural soaps and started making them for her son. She is adamant on finding new and innovative ways of creating products that don’t include all the harsh chemicals most readily available skin care products do. They don’t believe in testing on animals which is such a bonus, why do companies still do that?

Everything came beautifully packaged, either in lovely wrapping paper or in little tubs or bottles. Each product came with a label which had all the ingredients clearly labelled. This is so important, especially when you’ve got sensitive skin as you can check what is in the product and if you might be allergic/sensitive to them.

The first product I tried was the aloe and pink kisses hand cream (£7.50 90ml) which is made with rose clay. The first thing I noticed with this hand cream was the lovely scent it gave off, it is a very sweet, slightly floral scent which I love. The hand cream came packaged beautifully and is perfect for putting in your work bag or even gym bag for when you’re out and about. It was sealed which is great as it increases the shelf life so if you purchase it and don’t open it straight away you don’t need to worry about it going out of date! The hand cream left my hands really smooth and soft and they weren’t sticky, which is something I really dislike with hand creams. The smell lingered slightly and wore off after a while like most hand creams do.

Another product that I was excited to try was the rose and patchouli body butter (£6.00 120ml) with jojoba oil. When I tried this for the first time I couldn’t help but notice how luxurious and thick it was. When you apply the cream and start rubbing it in, it starts melting into your skin, giving your skin the moisture it needs. It contains jojoba oil, cocoa butter, Shea butter, coconut oil and mango butter which are all fantastic for your skin! I can’t wait to use this when I’m on holiday to give my skin a natural glowing shine!

Facetune_18-06-2018-18-10-52.jpgI also received two bars of soap, buttermilk & lavender (£3.75) and strawberry & vanilla (£3.50), both weighing 100g. My favourite scent was the strawberry and vanilla one as I love sweet, fruity scents. However, if you’re looking for a soap that will leave you feeling relaxed and zen, the buttermilk and lavender one would be great to try. Lavender is great for making you feel relaxed and calm! These soaps lather up really nicely and leave your skin feeling clean yet soft.

Another product I was excited to try were the raspberry and strawberry bath bombs (£3.50). I am a sucker for bath bombs and love using them, these bath bombs contain jojoba oil which make them very moisturising and lovely to use. These bath bombs are such good value for money, you get 3 bath bombs for only £3.50! I can’t believe how well priced they are for home-made products! Facetune_18-06-2018-18-08-39.jpg

I am so thankful to Sakina for sending me these products, I have really enjoyed trying them and using them and I really think that we should support smaller companies and brands more! I’d love it if you tried some of her products, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed! You can purchase here products here and I think for the quality of the products, they are definitely worth the money! I really think that Sakina’s passion for creating products that don’t include harsh chemicals is evident in her products, they are created beautifully with meaning behind them!

Love, Cally

  1. I haven’t heard of this brand before but I’m super happy they asked you to review…I always trust your reviews because you know your products well and detail everything nicely 😀 ❤ The hand cream sounds awesome because I hate that sticky feeling others leave too or how they'd instantly make my hands sweat. I'm currently using a product with rose clay and I love it too! I also love body butters so I know their consistency and thickness would be nice for me! Thanks for sharing love! 😀
