Pink Parcel Review

I recently received a Pink Parcel box to review. If you haven’t heard of this box before,  it’s a monthly subscription box which is tailored to you and your period. When you subscribe on the website you’re allowed to choose which sanitary products you want; tampons, pads or a mixture of both and you’re also allowed to choose what size you want; lite, regular and so on. You also have the option to choose from your favourite brand from a list of popular sanitary brands like Kotex, Lil-lets and Tampax. This means the box is really tailored to your needs and wants which is amazing!

Just like a normal beauty box subscription, the Pink Parcel box comes once a month on a chosen delivery date to suit your period and schedule. However, the box isn’t just filled with sanitary products, it also includes a couple of treats to brighten up those slightly darker days. The price of the box is £12.99 which includes free delivery. There’s no contract to the box so you’re allowed to cancel at anytime.

When you receive the box you’ll find a couple smaller boxes inside labelled ‘for you’, ‘for night’, ‘for later’ and ‘for now’. The idea behind this is that there’s a small pink draw string bag, the ‘for now’ one, with a few tampons and panty liners that you can just chuck into your bag for whenever your period might start. I find this super handy because who is ever prepared for their period? I know I’m always in massive rush to buy my tampons and pads and often have to be creative and ‘make my own’ using tissues – this is probably too much information for you, but it’s real life isn’t it? Then in the ‘for night’ box you’ll find the sanitary products you’ll need during the night and in then you’ll find more tampons and pads in the ‘for later’ box for when you run out of the ones in your little pretty bag.

Now onto the really exciting bit, all the treats you get to try out in the ‘for you’ box. I received 7 products, yes SEVEN, in my box which I think is brilliant, you get a real mixture of beauty, skin care and other treats.1B5C19DD-1A3D-499D-9D89-B643FDC39C7B.JPG

I’ve seen so many people raving about Dr Botanicals but I’ve never actually tried any of their products. I was so excited to see that I had the opportunity to try a product for their collection. Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil which retails at £29.99 for 15ml which I can’t believe because the box itself costs only £12.99! I love trying new skin care products and this looks amazing. When I opened up the bottle I couldn’t help but notice the beautiful scent it gave off. I definitely can’t wait to try it tonight. The facial oil is full of vitamins and minerals which work together to rejuvenate, renew and protect the skin. It is full of active ingredients which are beneficial for the skin;

  • Vitamin C which helps to stimulate collagen production for younger-looking skin
  • Vitamin A which is a powerful antioxidant to rejuvenate the skin, even skin tone and reduce the signs of ageing
  • Almond Oil to moisturise and nourish the skin whilst brightening the complexion for fresh looking skin

Another product I received was the Balance Me Hyaluronic Plumping Mist (5ml however the RRP is £16.00 for 30ml). This mist is an instant shot of hydration and calm for your skin. It contains a natural form of Hyaluronic Acid – Hyacare 50 which is derived from a probiotic which boasts antioxidants properties which penetrate the skin leaving it looking and feeling plumped. It contains chamomile water which is great for sensitive and irritated skin and pineapple extract, which brightens and balances oily and dry complexions. Perfect for when your skin is a little bit puffy and irritated whilst on your period.

ED114674-0623-4DF8-BF46-11B7F0B2D350.JPGI do love a good body scrub so the Optiat Pick Me Up Coffee Scrub (sachet sample RRP £9.99 for 220g) was another welcome addition. It is a blend of Arabica coffee grounds and lemongrass essential oils to help refresh your body after a work out. The only issue I have with this is that the sachet is quite small so I’ll only get one use out of it, but it sounds really invigorating and refreshing.

I received two beauty products, one being a Jelly Pong Pong The Super Matte Lipstick in the shade awesome ($22 1.8g). I used to always wear red lipstick but haven’t worn it in a couple of years but this colour does seem quite nice so I’ll give it a try. When I swatched the lipstick on my hand it seems very moisturising and hydrating.

The other product I received was the Puckr Up Lip Plumper (£19.99) which is a long lasting, light weight lip plumper which can be used alone for a naturally full lipped look or it can be used under lipstick for a high impact pout. It states that if you keep up to a regular routine the effects should last longer and longer with each application. I’m keen try this out because I love a plump lip!

I also received a sachet of Whittard’s English Rose Tea which is said to be a village fete tea for scones and strawberry jam, with delicate flavours of glorious rose and a packet of Ape’s Crisps and Crunchy coconut snacks.

If you’re interested in subscribing to this box I have a discount code which gets you 20% off your first box which is amazing! The code is: PP20

Love,

Cally
