My Current Skincare Favourites

Hello all you lovely people.

I thought it would be appropriate to do a skincare favourites seeing as it’s getting colder and colder and our skin needs all the hydration and care as possible.
At the minute I’ve been experimenting and trying out loads of new skin care products as I’ve been really into hydrating my skin and keeping it at glowy as possible. As I’ve been trying so many new products my list could be endless but I’ve whittled it down to 5 things that I’ve been loving.

The first product I’ve been loving is the Drops of Youth Concentrate (30ml £26.00) from the Body Shop. I use it both day and night and I’ve been using it after I’ve toned my face and before my moisturiser. It is supposed to help ‘enhance surface skin condition, leaving it looking smoother, fresher and healthier’. I was using the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair and loved that but I wanted to try something that was more affordable and could be used during the day as well. This concentrate helps hydrate my skin which is essential during the winter months.

Next I’ve been loving the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream (50ml £70.00). I got this as a freebie with my latest Cult Beauty order and have been using it religiously. It’s a great moisturiser as it contains SPF15 and helps stimulate your collagen production which is great for anti-aging benefits.

Next I’ve been using the Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist (80ml £16.0) after the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream to keep my skin hydrated before I put any make up on! The rose water smells divine and it’s great for protecting and balancing your face. This also wakes me up in the morning with the cooling and hydrating effects, perfect for when you’re rushing and needing that extra boost.

In the evenings I’ve been using The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane (30ml £5.50) drops. I’ve used this after my Drops of Youth Concentrate and it’s designed to support healthy hydration. I’ve definitely seen a change in my skin and how supple it is. It is a natural hydrocarbon which is present in the skin so it helps to prevent loss of hydration and can improve suppleness.

Lastly I’ve been using the Oskia Citylife I-Zone Balm (20ml £55.00) over my lips and other areas that may need that extra protection. This product is designed to provide protection against pollution and free-radical damage. It’s made with avocado oil so it’s extremely moisturising and I apply it before bed to ensure my lips are nice and hydrated when I wake up.

Love,

Cally

  1. Great post, I love reading about people’s favourite skincare products as I’m always looking for products to benefit my skin. I love the sound of the Drops of Youth concentrate, it’s so important to keep your skin extra hydrated in this freezing cold weather so I might purchase this over the Christmas holidays.
Your blog is absolutely gorgeous, I can’t wait to read the rest of your posts.
